Where it all began-

So many stories, so little time. -Streamline Recap here: Age 3, twin siblings come home w/ my parents and I had to put down the drum sticks in favor of

something a little quieter. Drawing with sound effects kept me happy then and it still does today. (less sound effects maybe if anyone else is around.)

Otherwise, I make my own soundtrack. I’ve been a drummer for as long as I’ve been an artguy, (which is probably why I enjoy painting next to the music so much). A few friends traded me money to draw them pictures of their D&D players, and I was HOOKED for Life.

I graduated from Auburn University, AL in June of 1990, and got busted for bootlegging my own shirts at a Grateful Dead weekend in Atlanta, 1992 and ended up doing 5 venue designs and the Fall Tour ’94 BANJO shirt design. (Still being sold today thanks to Liquid Blue, Inc.) From that time – on, I’ve juggled drawing with painting and not long ago, I included the use of a pressure-sensitive pen-mouse to the arsenal, and my foundations have been shaken from that day- ON, (let me tell you!).

I spent 2 summers in a Studio/Van, with a desk and a bucket, a sleeping bag and a mini-fridge that hooked up via extension cord from the back of the van (proving myself- to myself.)

I learned to be self sufficient making art in a service role. The main goal has been to make the client smile, and that goal has never changed until only recently, at the age of 42… when I decided that it was time to start making MY OWN ART from the heart. —Not to say that it hasn’t always BEEN from the heart,

but there is a subtle difference between doing art for someone else’s dream and doing art from one’s own. Now that I have become a DADDY, this whole ‘DREAM THING’ has become something MUCH more important than the ‘word’ entails. <~~~So many people connect a negative connotation to the term ‘Dreamer’, but to those who have a dream, there is very little that seems negative about it once it becomes more than a simple ‘flight of fancy’. If you have a dream, then you have a mission.

It is as simple as that. – – -(So, that being said: Welcome to Mine.)
